Thurs. 6/25/26
6:00-8:00 PM
$45/person (Participants NEED to bring a pair of shoes with them)
Join local artist, Abbie Foster Chaffee, for a night of DIY crafting, community building, & a whole lot of sparkle in the name of sustainability. Grab a pair of pre-loved shoes from your closet or a second-hand store and spend an evening transforming them into a one-of-a-kind pair of shiny shoes! This event will teach you how to upcycle shoes, accessories, and even bags! We will be using metallic foils (similar to faux gold leaf) to create the shiny look on our shoes.
This craft is perfect for beginners! No previous experience necessary. Just bring a pair of shoes and we provide the rest (including step-by-step guided instructions).
Upcycled fashion is an excellent way to help keep shoes and other items out of landfills, reduce overconsumption, and learn a new skill along the way!
Pre-registration is required. All sales FINAL.
Recommended for ages 13+ due to the tedious nature of this craft. Parents are welcome to make a pair of shoes for their sparkle loving kiddos, though!
*** Shoes should be leather or faux leather (vinyl). Suede, canvas, and mesh are not suitable fabrics. Foam shoes like Crocs can work but will need an additional step in the process to assure metallic foils stick properly.
